RAWALPINDI (Muhammad Hussain Soomro) According to ISPR, RAWALPINDI, January 19, 2026 – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M) HJ, COAS and CDF visited the National Police Academy, Islamabad, where he interacted with officers of the Pakistan Police Service. The Federal Minister for Interior and the Minister of State for Interior were also present during the visit.
On arrival, the Field Marshal was warmly welcomed by the Commandant National Police Academy and presented a guard of honour to him by a well-dressed contingent of police. The Field Marshal laid a wreath at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial and offered Fateha, paying tribute to the police martyrs who laid down their lives while ensuring peace, rule of law and public safety across the country. He acknowledged the immense sacrifices made by the police personnel in the face of the challenges of terrorism, crime and internal security.
