The 6-month Karachi Inter-Bank Offered Rate (KIBOR) dropped to 12.88% on November 28, 2024, its lowest in 31 months. This rate is 212 basis points below the State Bank of Pakistan’s policy rate of 15%. The decline follows a mid-week auction where the government raised Rs. 616 billion at rates below the central bank’s benchmark, according to Topline Securities.
