Pakistan recorded a $349 million current account surplus in October 2024, marking the third consecutive monthly surplus. This contrasts with a $287 million deficit in October 2023. In the first four months of FY25, the current account surplus reached $218 million, compared to a $1.528 billion deficit during the same period last year. The improvement is attributed to a 24% YoY and 7% MoM growth in remittances.
